Job Purpose:

The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior position responsible for designing and implementing new services, changes in existing functions and processes, integration with other systems working closely with Business users and Product Dev team. The overall objective of this role is to lead development of our flagship, global, cross product, industry recognized communication platform and integrate with other systems both internal and external to Citi.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with product users, business leads to ensure appropriate integration of functions aligning with product roadmap as well as provide thought leadership to deploy new functions and process improvements

  • Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint

  • Participate in conceiving and designing new system flows and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation

  • Engineer scalable microservice based architecture and infrastructure

  • Integrate application with other systems via messaging and API

  • Utilize programming and system design skills to develop innovative solution and triage systemic issues

  • Mentor and coach mid-level developers and analysts, assign tasks and review code via pull request

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or software design role

  • Strong technology background with working knowledge of evolving technologies.

  • Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications

  • Experience in managing and implementing real-time systems using microservices

  • Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate

  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent field

Technical Skills:

  • Java, REST web service, Spring boot micro service, API Gateway, Open API Standards

  • Messaging/Stream processing technologies like Kafka, Flink, Storm

  • Developer IDE (Eclipse), Sonar, Bitbucket, Jenkins/Maven build, CI CD Pipeline

  • Knowledgeable in ECS Openshift, Docker, Container, Kubernetes.

  • Knowledgeable in Scalable Search Engine using Elastic, SOLR

  • Expertise in one of the database Mongo Db, Oracle, SQL

  • Tomcat 8X & above or Web sphere or Web Logic

  • Unix and Windows environment

Nice to have

  • Experience in Hystrix or any circuit brakers.

  • AWS / Cloud Certification.
