Seeking a highly motivated candidate for a Senior Talend Developer position for ICGA Application Development within ISG . This full time role is based in Mississauga involved in developing and supporting solutions using MS SQL Server, ETL tools (preferably TalenD) and related technologies with a focus on modules within the analytics warehouse and migration from SSIS to TalenD.

Responsibilities:

• Interaction with team lead to understand the business requirements

• Produce high quality Technical & Release documents

• Design & develop solutions using MS SQL Server, ETL and related technologies

• Provide technical walk-throughs to various stake holders (QA Team, UAT Team, etc.)

• Communicate with internal stakeholders and work through data related inquiries and issues

• Be able to work independently as well as within a team

Experience:

• 5-10 years of experience with Microsoft technologies, ETL solutions, Big Data and open-source libraries

• Experience in Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Implementation (all phases of software development life cycle - SDLC)

• Very strong working experience with relational database as well as exposure to Big Data platforms

• Strong knowledge and experience in building complex ETL processes, data cleansing and Big Data optimization

• Some experience in building reporting solutions

• Some understanding of financial industry is an asset

• Excellent functional, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills

Skills:

• MS SQL Server 2014 and higher, Big Data (Hive, Spark, Hadoop, Linux)

• Database design, Talend and/or SSIS

• Strong SQL Server fundamentals

Education:

• Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or higher

Competencies

• Excellent written, presentation and communication skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills to identify creative ways to achieve solutions
