Citigroup Senior ETL Developer - AVP in Mississauga, Ontario
Seeking a highly motivated candidate for a Senior Talend Developer position for ICGA Application Development within ISG . This full time role is based in Mississauga involved in developing and supporting solutions using MS SQL Server, ETL tools (preferably TalenD) and related technologies with a focus on modules within the analytics warehouse and migration from SSIS to TalenD.
Responsibilities:
Interaction with team lead to understand the business requirements
Produce high quality Technical & Release documents
Design & develop solutions using MS SQL Server, ETL and related technologies
Provide technical walk-throughs to various stake holders (QA Team, UAT Team, etc.)
Communicate with internal stakeholders and work through data related inquiries and issues
Be able to work independently as well as within a team
Experience:
5-10 years of experience with Microsoft technologies, ETL solutions, Big Data and open-source libraries
Experience in Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Implementation (all phases of software development life cycle - SDLC)
Very strong working experience with relational database as well as exposure to Big Data platforms
Strong knowledge and experience in building complex ETL processes, data cleansing and Big Data optimization
Some experience in building reporting solutions
Some understanding of financial industry is an asset
Excellent functional, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
Skills:
MS SQL Server 2014 and higher, Big Data (Hive, Spark, Hadoop, Linux)
Database design, Talend and/or SSIS
Strong SQL Server fundamentals
Education:
- Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or higher
Competencies
Excellent written, presentation and communication skills
Excellent problem-solving skills to identify creative ways to achieve solutions
