Citigroup Senior DevOps Engineer - Java in Mississauga, Ontario

The Senior DevOps Engineer with strong a Java background is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

Release Management : create and manage releases; communicate with relevant teams to collect tasks assessments and approvals; perform release activities;

Development & Deployment : setup and maintain component build and deployment processes in VM and cloud environments; automate and optimize common deployment tasks to increase efficiency;

Infrastructure Maintenance & L3 Support : ensure the infrastructure’ stability, scalability and security by maintaining its components, including cloud-based solutions, and provide L3 support when necessary;

Cybersecurity : Monitor, diagnose and resolve security issues in time and with the best quality; propose solutions to prevents security breaches;

Integration : create and present integration POCs to evaluate new technologies and methodologies.

Qualifications:

6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role

Proficient in Java, Maven, Spring Boot – minimum 4 years;

Linux shell scripting – minimum 3 years;

System administration and OS core understanding – 5 years

Cloud: RedHat OpenShift – 2+ years;

DevOps tools: Jenkins, TeamCity, uDeploy – 3+ years

System scheduling: Autosys, Control-M – 2+ years

RDBMS: Oracle, PostGresSQL – 3+ years

Atlassian JIRA & Confluence, MS Office, ServiceNow – 3+ years

Education:

Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Master’s degree preferred
