Citigroup Senior Database and Web Developer, AVP in Mississauga, Ontario

Job Purpose:

Citi is seeking a highly motivated candidate for a Senior BI Developer position for ICG Analytics within ISG . This full time role is based in Mississauga.

Job Background/context:

The successful candidates will be responsible for developing and supporting solutions developed using Strong in MS SQL Server, ETL tools, .NET, C#, ASP.NET, .Net Core, Angular 2+ and related technologies.

This role will be focused in particular on development and support of modules for ICG Analytics Warehouse and Reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interaction with team lead to understand the business requirements

  • Produce high quality Technical & Release documents

  • Design & develop solutions using MS SQL Server, ETL and related technologies

  • Design and develop solutions using C#, .Net Core, Angular 2+, ASP.NET, JQuery, MVC, HTML5, MS SQL Server and related technologies

  • Provide technical walk-throughs to various stake holders (QA Team, UAT Team, etc.)

  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and work through data related inquiries and issues

  • Be able to work independently as well as within a team

Development Value:

Person Specification

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Experience in Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Implementation (all phases of software development life cycle - SDLC)

  • Very strong working experience with relational database using SQLServer

  • Strong knowledge and experience in building complex ETL processes, data cleansing

  • Strong working experience with Microsoft and Web technologies (C#, .Net Core, Angular 2+, ASP.NET, JQuery, MVC, HTML5, MS SQL Server)

  • Experience with UI/web programming languages (such as JavaScript, Angular 2+, Typescript, Html, CSS)

  • Some experience in building reporting solutions

  • Some understanding of financial industry is an asset

  • Excellent functional, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills

Skills:

  • 5-10 years of working experience in developing using Microsoft technologies, Big Data and open-source libraries

  • MS SQL Server 2014 and above

  • Database design, SSIS or Talend

  • Strong SQL Server fundamentals

  • C#, .Net Core, Angular 2+, ASP.NET, JQuery, MVC, HTML5

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science.

  • Excellent written, presentation and communication skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills to identify creative ways to achieve solutions

Replacement for Sourabh Bhatia, current contractor in NYC Metro, with a regular position in Canada (Mississauga)
