Revlon Sales Planner in Mississauga, Ontario

Basic Function:

Revlon is seeking a Sales Planner to join the Prestige Sales Team to support the execution of our annual plan and sales strategies to maximize sales volume, achieve P&L objectives and ensure flawless execution of strategic commercial programs.

This multifaceted role is critical to supporting the Head of Prestige Sales in delivering against our annual business objectives through strategic sales planning & analytics, executional coordination with the Field Sales Team, and cross-functional collaboration with other departments.

The ideal candidate is an energetic, highly detail-oriented & organized individual who is excited by the variety this role offers and the opportunity collaborate and work cross-functionally across our Commercial, Demand/Supply Planning and Marketing Teams.

Major Duties:

  • Analyze customer POS data to identify trends and opportunities to enhance sales. Organize sales data into user-friendly formats for easy access and interpretation by stakeholders.

  • Work in partnership with the Head of Sales, Finance & Demand Planning to develop, track and revise as necessary, both baseline and promotional sales. Identify opportunities and present revised projections and recommendations to leadership.

  • Collaborate with sales & marketing teams to align sales strategies for new products and activations. Track and report on sales performance and market trends, utilizing data analytics tools to create detailed reports.

  • Provide analysis of retailers on hand inventory data, retail sales trends and weeks of supply. Monitor inventory at trade to ensure optimal stock availability and opportunities.

  • Work with commercial team to develop phase-out sales strategies for discontinued items.

  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to provide sales insights and support strategic decisions.

  • Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark pricing and promotions.

  • Support tracking of Region/Account Executive Territory sales, including by month/by brand, retail sales plans by Door, by account executive, and by region. Update with latest forecast as required.

  • Track sell-in and sell-out of gift sets during key seasonal promotional periods.

  • Proactively develop ad-hoc analytical reports and projects to address specific business challenges, opportunities, or changing needs of the business.

  • Serve as liaison between the Head Office Sales Team, Field Sales Team and other internal teams to ensure aligned objectives and streamlined communication.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • 3-5 years of business experience supporting sales team. Demonstrated strong understanding of both retail/field and head-office customer team perspectives.

  • Experience working with Shoppers Drug Mart is strongly preferred. Experience with HBC, London Drugs and Jean Coutu is also considered an asset.

  • Strong analytical skills with the proven ability to interpret data and link category management data to retailer/business scenarios:

  • Ability to create recommendations through ad hoc analysis utilizing analytical skills.

  • Ability to develop selling story/recommendations as output of analysis.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel / Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, and Word. Knowledge of Power BI is a strong asset.

  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate strong organizational skills and agility to determine, prioritize, and manage multiple priorities.

  • Demonstrates the high energy and motivation needed to take initiative and be flexible in a fast paced, dynamic team environment.

  • Must have strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.

  • Must be creative and detail-oriented in ambiguous situations, with a focus on execution.

Minimum Education Required:

Bachelor’s degree - preferably in Marketing/Sales, Business

Minimum Years Experience Required:

5+ years business analytics experience supporting Sales or Retailer Buyer team(s)
