Job Description

WHAT’S THE JOB?

The General Labourer is responsible for assisting with various maintenance/service tasks associated with job specific set up, as well as some carpentry work as well as other duties.

The Labourer performs some or all the following duties:

  • General sites clean up to ensure a high-level of cleanliness for all areas inside and outside the facility.

  • Completes activities related to manual labor, including bending, stooping, reaching, carrying, and lifting heavy objects weighing up to 45 lbs.

  • Ensure all company equipment is in good repair.

  • Load and unload materials/supplies as required.

  • Complete various maintenance and/or service tasks as required.

  • Operates hand and power tools required to perform tasks of portable building installation.

  • Cleans and stores tools and equipment.

  • Assist trades personnel with service-related tasks.

  • Measure and cut, wood materials as directed.

  • Interact with other departments to ensure the proper functioning of all systems on site.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision.

  • Valid drivers license.

  • High school graduate diploma or working towards the completion of one.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with others.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labour.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
