Job Description
WHAT’S THE JOB?
The General Labourer is responsible for assisting with various maintenance/service tasks associated with job specific set up, as well as some carpentry work as well as other duties.
The Labourer performs some or all the following duties:
General sites clean up to ensure a high-level of cleanliness for all areas inside and outside the facility.
Completes activities related to manual labor, including bending, stooping, reaching, carrying, and lifting heavy objects weighing up to 45 lbs.
Ensure all company equipment is in good repair.
Load and unload materials/supplies as required.
Complete various maintenance and/or service tasks as required.
Operates hand and power tools required to perform tasks of portable building installation.
Cleans and stores tools and equipment.
Assist trades personnel with service-related tasks.
Measure and cut, wood materials as directed.
Interact with other departments to ensure the proper functioning of all systems on site.
Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
Valid drivers license.
High school graduate diploma or working towards the completion of one.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with others.
Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labour.
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
