The team you will be a part of

The Digital Commerce team plays a crucial role in supporting the entire online consumer journey. The team is responsible for driving sales not only on retailer websites but also through the direct-to-consumer channel on Whirlpool Canada's branded websites (KitchenAid.ca, Maytag.ca, Everydrop.ca, GladiatoGarageworks.ca and Whirlpool.ca). Responsibilities span a wide range of activities, from managing product listings and optimizing online presence on various platforms to ensuring a seamless shopping experience on the company's own websites.

This role in summary

The Direct Sales Manager is a key driver of Whirlpool Canada's online success, leading the charge to maximize sales and elevate the consumer experience on our branded websites. By spearheading strategic planning, data-driven optimization, digital media excellence and cross-functional collaboration, they ensure the achievement of the following critical financial and web performance goals:

  • Increased sales and revenue through the direct-to-consumer channels

  • Enhanced consumer experience and satisfaction on the branded websites

  • Improved web performance metrics and achievement of key financial indicators

  • Successful execution of strategic plans and data-driven optimizations

Your responsibilities will include

  • Developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies for the direct-to-consumer channels.

  • Setting clear sales targets and KPIs aligned with the company's overall objectives.

  • Identifying new opportunities for growth and expansion in the online marketplace.

  • Managing and optimizing paid advertising campaigns across various digital platforms (e.g., Google Ads, social media ads).

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive digital media strategy, including analyzing campaign performance to maximize return on investment.

  • Analyzing sales data and web analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

  • Working closely with marketing, product, and customer service teams to ensure alignment and synergy.

  • Coordinating with IT and web development teams to implement website enhancements and new features.

Minimum requirements

  • A university degree

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing or e-commerce, with a proven track record of driving online sales growth

Preferred skills and experiences

  • 5+ years' experience managing/implementing various merchandising initiatives such as designing promotional plans, building forecasts, setting merchandising priorities, etc.

  • University degree with a marketing or business focus

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing or e-commerce, with a proven track record of driving online sales growth

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and optimizing email marketing campaigns and digital media advertising.

  • Experience with setting goals, hypothesizing improvements, optimizing, measuring progress/success, and closing gaps to goals

  • Strong understanding of web analytics and data-driven decision-making.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset driving relentless pursuit of improvement and personal ownership of results

  • Self-starter, highly developed ability to receive and give feedback as well as to set priorities

  • Up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing trends and best practices.

  • Proficient in Google Suite applications.

  • Effective communicator across multi-functional teams
