This position will collaborate with various sales personnel to deliver against core responsibilities. Calls on multiple customers to develop relationships and achieve maximum product sales.

Position Responsibilities

  • Deliver the planned annual sales & profit targets across multiple customers while managing trade effectively.

  • Work with direct guidance from manager as it relates to business planning and customer strategy.

  • Execute assortment, pricing, and promotion plan to deliver agreed upon objectives.

  • Execute business strategies and tactics as directed.

  • Negotiate annual agreements, promo activity, listing fees, price increases & costing with customer.

  • Create & present business reviews.

  • Gain customer approval for in-store activation (displays, signs, etc.)

  • Address retail pricing issues with customers.

  • Manage routine demand and supply issues with customers.

  • Communicate changes to CAG policy, discontinued items, pricing actions, recalls/product quality issues to customers.

  • Ensuring new products are listed and distribution gaps are filled.

  • Handle customer/consumer complaints.

  • Input annual business plan in the Trade Management tool and maintain trade events in the tool.

  • Provide project support for Team Lead and BDMs.

  • Provide excellent customer service.

Supervision :

  • Reporting into the Senior BDM

Potential Career Progression:

  • Business Development Manager (move later)

  • Market Development

  • Lateral Marketing roles within CAG

Position Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.

  • 1-year related experience. CPG preferred.

  • A team player, with superior customer-service acumen and a demonstrated ability to network with other departments.

  • Strong computer skills for Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)

  • Experience with SAP (S4, TMA) preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.

  • Excellent analytical skills and highly detail oriented.

  • Sales planning and sales execution experience required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and applications. (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Must have strong negotiation skills.

  • Must be capable of effectively interpreting and using multiple information sources to develop customer-specific tactical plans and options.

  • Effective communication skills - both written and verbal.

  • Demonstrates initiative and perseverance.

Physical Requirements (optional)

  • Travel may be required.
