The Role: The XPD Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of new products and solutions from Stages 2 through 5. This role will manage all aspects of the project acting as coordinator and facilitator, interfacing with multiple stakeholder groups including (but not limited to) product managers, solution architects, engineering product teams, analysts, manufacturing, marketing, and operations to bring new product developments to full commercialization on time, budget and within scope.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
Work with stakeholders and contributors to develop the project plans, schedule and budgets
Focus on coordination of resources, managing critical path and adjusting to new developments
Supporting consistency in the delivery of new products to the broader Assessment Services business
Make recommendations and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Assessment Services product development process and best practices
Report on the progress and status of their projects to stakeholders and management
Analyze and identify potential short- and long-term risks to then implement mitigations to support the project’s scope, schedule and budget
Flexibility to manage multiple priorities and tasks
Drive discussion with the cross-functional teams to ensure clear, open communication and coordination of efforts across departments and functions
Conduct regular reviews with the global product managers to validate the project is meeting the marketing requirements and voice of customer
Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or 8+ years hands-on experience across all major areas of the project management
Ability to excel in a team-oriented environment
Great organizational and time management skills
Proactive and attention to detail
Ability to work with minimal supervision to establish and meet project objectives
Effectively document the solution and clearly communicate to a cross-functional team
