What Youll Do as a Mental Health Technician: We are searching for Mental Health Technicians (MHT) for our Intensive Services program at our Mishawaka Campus.
The Mental Health Technician will work with youth and adolescents in Intensive Services to provide psychiatric services which are directed toward the following: Assistance in maintaining daily routines while youth and adolescents are in the residential program Providing skills and support to enable clients to regain coping abilities and prevent further disability Creating a therapeutic milieu to facilitate healing As a vital part of the clients treatment, the Mental Health Technician will: Interact with a variety of professionals. Work with nursing staff, or lead to receive assignments and report pertinent data. Work with the treatment team to implement treatment plan interventions. May have contact with families, significant others, and other social service representatives. Full time schedule requirements: 40 hours plus/week Schedule includes voluntary overtime and mandates. Expectation to volunteer for overtime each week. Schedule changes are due to staff call-offs, PTO, milieu on the unit or unforeseen events. Schedule adjustments happen multiple times each week.
