City of Mishawaka Ice Rink Attendant in Mishawaka, Indiana
JOB TITLE - ICE RINK ATTENDANT
DEPARTMENT:Parks Department SALARY:$12.50 to $14.00 per hour HOURS:Various
DEFINITION: Attendants will report directly to the Director and Manager for the winter season.
EQUIPMENT USED: Ice Skates, AED, First Aid Kit, Computer
JOB LOCATION: Ironworks Ice Rink
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Employee must be able to stand, walk, bend, and assist lifting a person. Be able to ice skate or willing to learn. Be able to handle cold weather for up to 45 minutes at a time.
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Outside during winter for 30 to 45-minute periods. Sitting and walking inside while preparing food.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Ensure the safety of all patrons Identify potential accident hazards Be alert to surroundings and prevent accidents Enforce all policies, rules, and regulations in a consistent manner Respond quickly, intelligently, decisively and in accordance with the established emergency and accident procedures Administer first aid Inspect the facility and report any irregular activity or unsafe conditions/equipment to the Director or Manager.
ADDITIONAL EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED: Monitor the ice and all the patrons on it assisting in any situation Running computer system, collecting money, and returning correct change. Basic food preparation
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and winter break Ability to ice skate or learn to ice skate
