Job Title: Mill Machinist

Job Description

This role is for a CNC mill operator in a job shop. You will be responsible for setting up and operating a 5-axis CNC Mill. Typically, you will perform 2-3 setups per week. Once the machine is set up and running effectively, you will complete history cards and perform inspections using micrometers and calipers to ensure tolerance is maintained. You need to be able to read prints and follow work instructions for daily tasks. Run times are generally longer, so you may only do one setup per week. The company is a major supplier to the aerospace industry, with 80% of their business going to Honeywell facilities in the United States. Due to the nature of the industry, the required dimensional accuracy is +/- .0002", and you can expect to handle a significant amount of paperwork.

This is a fully on-site position in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Work Environment

This is a clean, well-lit, climate-controlled area of the facility. It is a smaller machine shop that produces parts for the aerospace industry. Hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday. The only required PPE is safety glasses.
