Job Description
We're looking for a Systems Engineer to be responsible for business analysis, hardware engineering, systems administration, software installation, and quality assurance. The focus will be on the Oracle Hospitality Cruise Property Management System, known previously as Fidelio Cruise. This is full-time, onsite, and a contract that is renewed on a semi-annual basis.
What You’ll Do
Demonstrate expertise in the low-level design of our product
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the product's technology stack and data model
Recognize how our product interacts with other systems within the enterprise
Perform configuration and system testing in both lab and fleet environments
Provide user support through various stages including UAT, project deliverables, and operational support
Install systems physically in the lab and onboard, requiring travel (25%)
Maintain and support development and test lab environments
Create and uphold product documentation
Troubleshoot network, firewall, and connectivity issues
Handle additional tasks as directed by the Manager
What You’ll Need
Required:
Experience with product backlogs, including defect and enhancement management
Ability to comprehend requirements and user stories
Skilled in estimating technology requests and conducting cost/benefit analysis
Proficiency in defining context and sketching solutions
Establishing and maintaining vendor and partner relationships
Overseeing the product roadmap's execution and evolution
Crafting and executing test cases for nonfunctional requirements
Maintaining updated documentation of all products
Providing 3rd Level Production Support
Keeping current with industry trend
SQL knowledge and reporting experience (Crystal Reports or similar)
Preferred:
Excellent communication and advanced relational database understanding
MS Excel expertise, including VLOOKUP’s and Pivot Tables
Proficiency in SQL query and script generation
Adaptability to change and priority shifts
Research skills and understanding of when to escalate issues
Independent learning and technology application
Ability to work autonomously and within a team
Awareness of data protection regulations (GDPR, PCI, PII)
Minimum 5 years in Application Software Delivery Life Cycle and Support
Minimum 5 years experience with Relational Databases & SQ
At least 1 year of Crystal Reports Writing
Prior experience in the cruise and hospitality industry is a plus
Familiarity with system integration in an application development and support team setting
Minimum 3 years of OHC PMS or Fidelio Cruise experience at the administrative level
Physical Demands:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
