Overview

The Senior Manager, Content Platform will play a pivotal role in leading the strategy, development, and optimization of our content platform, which will power a $4+ billion B2B commerce product, leveraged by 15+ product development teams and used by 2500 of the top beverage-alcohol brands and hundreds of thousands of customers.

You will lead a platform development team which will be responsible for building platform capabilities to accelerate and underpin products built by SGWS. This role will be responsible for establishing patterns for CMS, including exploring new Adobe CMS solutions, maintaining existing AEM templates and components, and implementing headless CMS solutions to decouple content from presentation. You will create enterprise patterns for content generation, lifecycle management, distribution and delivery. This role will chart the path for new capabilities such as enabling hyper-personalization, enabling generative AI to transform content management and building an interconnected marketing ecosystem with tools like Target, Workfront, AEP, Analytics, etc.

This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, leadership and hands-on execution to drive the growth and success of the marketing technology initiatives. This role will work closely with product leaders to build and prioritize the platform roadmap, which will underpin and accelerate our products. The individual has a balanced mix of technical and very strong business skills, working with key business stakeholders but also acting as a tech lead for the developers on your team.

Specialized Skills and Technologies

  • Hands on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar Content Management System (CMS) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform

  • Experience with headless CMS implementation, preferably with eCommerce.

  • Working knowledge of at least one other Adobe Marketing Cloud product (Target, Analytics, Audience Manager, AEP, Campaign, Magento)

  • Experience in application architecture, systems integration, and development.

  • Experience with one or more Java concepts and patterns including: Java/J2EE, JSP, Sling, JMS, JUnit, Eclipse

  • Working knowledge of multiple web and application tier technologies: HTML5, JavaScript, React, Rest, GraphQL, Tomcat, Apache HTTP, Solr, open-source packages, CDN, Apollo

  • Experience with automation and CI/CD: Jenkins, Continuum, Hudson, automated unit testing, Maven, SonarCube, Selenium, Jira, and GitHub

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a prioritized roadmap for the content platform.

  • Work closely with product leaders and product development teams to leverage platform capabilities.

  • Lead implementation of Adobe Experience Manager (Sites, Assets) and other marketing technology platforms, providing both oversight, architecture and hands on contributions to the software design, development and integration.

  • Integrate personalization and A/B testing into the end user experience.

  • Establish design patterns for implementing CMS, DAM and personalization in headless architecture. Explore use of generative AI in marketing ecosystem.

  • Participate in the development of conceptual and logical architectures with packaged software and cloud native technologies.

  • Provide strong leadership skills, including the ability to facilitate product team meetings effectively and to deliver constructive feedback to development teams.

  • Independently lead the estimation effort for product development

  • Lead a combination of onshore + offshore Agile based development team(s) and perform code reviews, coaching and best practice guidance to developers

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience implementing Adobe Experience Manager solutions (Sites, Assets) or similar CMS/DAM. Cloud Service Experience preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 10 years) work experience in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.

  • Proven experience in leading and managing development teams in an Agile Environment.

  • Experience in application architecture, systems integration, and development.

  • Experience with one or more Java concepts and patterns including: Java/J2EE, JSP, Sling, JMS, JUnit, Eclipse

  • Working knowledge of multiple web and application tier technologies: HTML5, JS, React, Rest, GraphQL, Tomcat, Apache Http, Solr, open-source packages, CDN

  • Experience with automation and CI/CD: Jenkins, Continuum, Hudson, automated unit testing, Maven, SonarCube, Selenium, Jira, and GitHub

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
