Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Developer to lead our software development initiatives. This role requires extensive experience in software engineering and architecture, as well as a deep understanding of modern technologies. The ideal candidate will drive the development process, mentor team members, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and architecture of complex software systems.

  • Mentor and guide software engineers in best practices, coding standards, and design patterns.

  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.

  • Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve processes and products.

  • Facilitate technical discussions and provide thought leadership in software development.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the development team.

  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software through effective project management and agile methodologies.

Nice To Have

  • Experience in leading and managing software development teams.

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Contributions to open-source projects or active involvement in tech communities.

  • Knowledge of machine learning or data engineering.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred

  • 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on system architecture.

  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).

  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine

  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping

  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
