Robert Half Payroll Tax Analyst in Miramar, Florida

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Tax Analyst based in Miramar, Florida. This role is integral to our team, focused on the compliance with local, state, and federal payroll tax regulations and the filing of corresponding tax returns.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all payroll tax activities, including adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.

• Facilitate electronic or telephonic tax payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Generate and maintain detailed Excel spreadsheets for Schedule B tax payments.

• Regularly update tax spreadsheets with information including taxable wages, taxes withheld, and taxes paid by reporting frequency.

• Support the preparation of quarterly 941, 940 FUTA, and SUI tax returns and payments.

• Assist in the reconciliation of annual state and local reporting.

• Aid in the reconciliation, printing, and mailing of W-2s.

• Develop and sustain business process documentation related to all payroll tax filings and system updates.

• Research and rectify system errors within the SAP Payroll System in accordance with Federal, State, and Local guidelines.

• Establish and maintain relationships with key Corporate and Divisional personnel.

• Undertake special projects as needed. Requirements • Proficient in Customer Service

• Excellent Communication Skills

• Capable of Reporting on various metrics

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Understanding of Procedures and Compliance in payroll

• Experience in Payroll and Payment Processing

• Strong Research abilities

• Knowledge of 'About Time' software

• Background in Finance

• Experience in Reconciliations and Check Processing

• Ability to manage Correspondence effectively

• Proficient Typing Skills

• Ability to create and manage Spreadsheets

• Knowledge of Tax Accounting

• Experience in Filing important documents

• Understanding of Payroll Functions

• Knowledge of best Practices in payroll

• Proficient Communication Skills

• Knowledge of Tax related issues and solutions

• Capable of producing Video presentations

• Experience in Printing important documents

• Proficient in Research Analysis
