Marvin Altendorf Farm Farm Equipment Mechanic and Technician in Minto, North Dakota
Job Duties:
- Adjust and repair agricultural equipment such as tractors and conveyor belts. 2. Assist in dismantling defective machines for repair, such as stripping wheels, brake drums and wheel bearings down to the axles, reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation, and making adjustments as necessary. 3. Perform routine maintenance on all agricultural equipment: greasing, changing oil on trucks, trailers, tractors, and farm machinery. Provide maintenance for augers and bins. Change tires, brake linings, repairing oil leaks and seals, and changing bearings. 4. In the off-season perform equipment checklists and make recommendations for procuring replacement equipment for upcoming season. 5. Operate power tools such as welders, torches, air compressors, impact wrenches, and drills. 6. Clean vehicles and filters daily or more often as field conditions warrant. 7. Drive Service Units (hauling tools and equipment) to fields for maintenance on farm equipment. 8. Operate farm trucks. 9. Assist with loading commercial trucks to haul commodity for shipping or storage.
Minimum Experience: 2 years experience in job offered or as industrial machinery mechanic.
Special Requirements: Drug Screen and Criminal Background check upon hire.
Salary: $57,928.00/ year
