Summary:
Registered Nurse functions as a vital member of the healthcare team who contributes to the success of Public Health by demonstrating customer/patient focus, effective communication, professionalism, and teamwork. Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care provided to selected client populations and their families. Instructs individuals and families in health education and disease prevention in Public Health by performing the following duties:
Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all aspects of the Ryan White program
- Coordinate all aspects of the TB program
- Coordinate the Counseling, Testing, Referral (CTR) Program
- Write CTR grant
- Attend Pride event
- Order HIV/Hep C supplies
- Assist with all aspects of the Jail Health program
- HIV/AIDs counseling and testing
- Hepatitis C testing
- Mantoux testing
- Assist with General Nurse duties
- Administer immunizations
- Assess, counsel and refer clients who present with general health concerns
- Assist in Syringe Service program
- Assist in other programs and disaster response as needed
- Other duties as assigned

Knowledge of the growth and development of infants, children and
adolescents.
Excellent physical assessment
