As a Mortgage Loan Processor - Secondary Market, your primary role will be to ensure that all loan documentation is accurate, complete, and processed in a timely manner. You will work closely with loan officers, borrowers, underwriters, and other team members to facilitate a smooth and efficient loan process.
This is an in-office position.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and verify loan applications and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Perform a general evaluation of a mortgage loan application including credit, liabilities, and employment.
Gather and organize required documentation to meet underwriting guidelines for the loan type and clear any underwriting conditions.
Maintain detailed and organized loan files and records.
Coordinate with underwriters, appraisers, and other parties to ensure timely processing of loan applications.
Collect and process necessary financial information and documentation from borrowers.
Communicate with borrowers to request additional information or clarification as needed.
Monitor the status of loan applications and update borrowers and team members accordingly.
Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the processing of loans.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements throughout the loan process.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency is required.
Three to five years of experience in banking, mortgage, or a related role and/or training is preferred.
Knowledge of mortgage processing and/or loan origination is preferred.
