Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be performing both preventative and reactive repairs on tractors and trailers. Your duties will include preventive maintenance such as lube, filters, interior/exterior cab, tire inspection (tread, inflation, rotation, wear), oil changes, wheel seals, and more. You will be responsible for engine work, including replacing alternators/starters, drive cams, brakes, springs, differentiators, alignment, S-Cams, U-Joints, etc. You will also conduct MIG/Stick welding and use a torch and grinder as needed. You will use a laptop to troubleshoot/diagnose issues and track your work through our internal software.

Hard Skills

• Experience performing maintenance on semis, tractors, trailers, or farming equipment

• Ability to troubleshoot equipment via laptop

• Ability to MIG/Stick Weld

Work Environment

You must be willing to work both inside and outside as you may need to retrieve trailers/tractors from the yard. You must provide your own steel-toed boots, but we will provide uniforms, safety glasses, hard hats as needed. Our facilities are small (2-3 bays) and you may be working at either our trailer shop or our tractor refurbishing location.
