You will be working to build, launch, and monitor a Genetic Testing Program pilot. This is non-IT Product Development and Project Management work. You will work with SMEs from Operations, Product, Data & Analytics, an external provider team, and Company Genomics consultants to build and document processes, manage the project, and provide written and verbal updates and reports on program performance. You may also contribute to other Advocacy team projects as time and capacity allow to assist other product team members. You will be working with 10-20 stakeholders from 5-6 different functions. There will be 2 products, 1 Ops manager, 2 RN Case Managers, 1 provider liaison (external), 2 consultants, 2 data & analytics. Interacting with other roles as needed on the project is possible. Primary Responsibilities: Manage complex projects in a self-directed manner Lead the Genetic Testing Program project: Serve as the primary liaison across all stakeholders of the project, including UHC, Optum, and provider contacts Manage the project plan, ensuring all stakeholders are equipped to meet their obligations and timelines Collaborate with Operations and Data & Analytics teams to design and document the processes of the pilot program Adjust pilot requirements and deploy updates as needed following go-live Develop reporting requirements for monitoring the program Deliver formal reporting and status updates to project stakeholders on an ongoing basis in both written and verbal forms Support team members leading existing Advocacy capabilities by: Conducting SME interviews and analyzing processes to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency Documenting process updates Documenting and contributing to updated reporting and automation requirements Providing project management support Contribute to ad hoc projects in support of additional Advocacy team strategic initiatives as capacity allows Maintain history and documentation of projects for succession planning and project handoff when the contract role is complete Ideal candidate background: An ideal candidate has proven experience managing complex projects for cross-functional teams in a healthcare setting. Demonstrated ability to analyze and organize quantitative data. Identifies challenges and problem-solves with key stakeholders to reach solutions that meet the unique needs of families. Ability to execute identified deliverables either directly or by influencing and driving internal and external partners Self-directed with proven organizational skills and the ability to be flexible and work within a place of ambiguity Skills/attributes are required: Bachelor''s Degree 5+ years of combined experience in program development, program measurement, or product management within a matrix organization 5+ years of combined experience working in healthcare, health delivery systems, with or for health plans Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications Skills/attributes are preferred: Experience in serving populations with special health care needs Experience working with healthcare provider organizations Familiarity with topics in genetic medicine Project management certification Additional information: The E&I Advocacy Product Team Contractor will be responsible for executing strategic priorities as they relate to UHC s Advocacy models. Specifically, the majority of this work will focus on efforts in the space of clinical care delivery through partnerships with health systems and external organizations. The populations served through clinical care delivery partnerships are small in volume but have tremendous needs and face many challenges in navigating the health care system, including the insurance and administrative components. The work to support these partnerships will focus on: Leading the setup of a pilot Genetic Testing Program to help qualified patients obtain education on genetic testing and support connecting to a provider to deliver genetic testing Supporting existing Advocacy programs by analyzing opportunities for efficiency and, where applicable, strengthened provider partnerships for patients: On a Diagnostic Odyssey, seeking answers for their undiagnosed symptoms/condition In need of care planning and coordination, already diagnosed but with many complexities, including those that extend outside the healthcare delivery such as financial, social, educational supports With a rare disease or requiring a new gene/cell/emerging medicine treatment for their condition Contributing to additional Advocacy strategic initiatives as needed. Broad responsibilities of this role and team will include partnering with our operations, product, and data & analytics teams as well as provider health system contacts to ensure execution of the Genetic Testing Program pilot as it''s designed launched, and monitored. This role will leverage data and reporting for key components such as monitoring and reporting on pilot performance to project stakeholders.
