Assist with all aspects of researcher projects, managing animal colonies and following standard operating protocols. Is responsible for collecting and analyzing data, writing results and contributing to written manuscripts. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 80% Research: * Use of analysis pipeline to identify how alcohol exposure affects neuronal activation in a mouse model. * Improve and adapt analysis pipeline to make it easy-to-use and flexible for other types of projects. 20% Documentation * Maintain records from analysis pipeline and generate standard operating procedures for new experimental methods. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS * Postdoctoral degree required * Animal colony maintenance experience * Experience performing a variety of biochemical techniques (behavioral experiments, wet lab) * Basic laboratory research skills (keeping a research notebook, recording data, analyzing data, writing reports) About the Department The Department of Pharmacology at the University of Minnesota is one of six basic science departments in the Medical School.
