Sr. Financial Analyst - FP&A

ABOUT YOU:

Sr. Financial Analyst will support the planning and forecast processes as well as process improvement initiatives for the finance team and broader organization with a focus on data access, accuracy, and detail. This role will support existing models, create new ones, perform ad-hoc analysis, and support system implementation. This role is critical in planning, forecasting, analysis, and supporting the enterprise and broader finance team.

YOU HAVE:

  • Passion. Natural curiosity to dig in and drive to follow through.

  • Technical skills. Broad knowledge of accounting and FP&A practices and procedures. Excellent computer skills, with working knowledge of MS Excel and experience with advanced FP&A tools like; Adaptive Planning, Hyperion, BPC, Essbase, Power Query, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, Incorta.

  • Attention to detail. Ability to plan, organize and see projects to completion while managing deadlines.

  • Strong analytical skills. Process improvement initiatives for the finance team and broader organization with a focus on data access, accuracy, and detail. Including the use of new tools such as Incorta, Alteryx, and Power Query.

  • Great communication skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with all levels and functions in the organization.

  • Experience. 5 + years’ accounting and/or financial analysis experience.

  • Education. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

    YOU WILL:

  • Support. Perform monthly and quarterly review of actual results to budget and prior year, along with related variance analysis. Support planning and forecasting processes; including updating models and making sure operational KPI’s are linked to financial results. Produce and analyze weekly key metrics for the assigned organizational segment. This includes analytical work for the business to explain impacts to plan and key projects.

  • Improve. Partner with finance team to enhance models and improve processes that will enable more time for analysis vs. data gathering.

  • Help. Support FP&A leadership in implementing a quarterly forecasting process to provide guidance and assist with strategic decisions. Quarterly forecasts and annual plan preparation. Work with cross functional partners to create accurate and timely forecasts for the supported segment.

  • Strengthen. Project work including leveraging technology to improve planning, reporting and data processes, as well as identifying, summarizing, and communicating business trends. Support various business initiatives, ad-hoc projects, and other analytical work.

  • Typical/expected % of overnight travel: Less than one week/year = <2%
