Here's where you come in: McKinstry is looking to add a Renewable Energy Business Development Leader to our renewable energy team. The ideal fit for this position will be someone who is a subject matter expert in the commercial and industrial (CI&) market vertical with a focus on solar PV and battery energy storage technologies. In this position, you will provide your expertise and build a strategic partnership with McKinstry's Regional Development Directors and project teams throughout the country. Business Development/Management: This role will work closely with multiple internal teams including sales, development, engineering, construction, legal, and project finance departments, as well as external parties, to develop and execute region-specific strategies. This position will be business development-focused and require subject matter expertise in Renewable Energy technology, sales strategy, project development, policy, financial modeling, and project finance solutions. In partnership with energy regions, you will create renewable energy market development plans and work collaboratively to implement business development strategies. You will be tasked with positioning McKinstry's brand within identified markets with a primary focus on the commercial sector. You will also support financial analysis and evaluation of potential projects with the development and finance teams. You must be knowledgeable in State, City, County, Utility, Federal, and other policies affecting Renewable Energy offering in relevant geographic areas. Technology/Project Development In partnership with energy regions, you will create renewable energy market development plans and work collaboratively to implement business development strategies. Ideally, you will have an advanced understanding of system interconnection, utility metering policy, and project development challenges and strategies for de-risking renewable energy projects. You will need to learn and understand McKinstry technology offerings, vertical, and geographic markets to succeed in this position. Leadership & Team Management: This is a unique position because you will have the opportunity to coach and develop cross-functional teams within the organization. You will be asked to educate and advance the professional development of team members on Renewable Energy offerings, technology solutions, market dynamics, and policy. To be successful in this position, you must possess strong writing and public speaking skills to deliver both business and technical solution sales presentations, as well as effectively communicate in writing and verbally to other McKinstry team members and departments ranging from entry-level to executive leadership. What we would like to see from you: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, economics, or equivalent business experience preferred 7-10+ Years of experience in solar, energy storage, or other renewable energy industry Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and required Strong understanding of renewable energy financial arrangements including power purchase agreements (PPAs) and energy services performance contracting (ESPC) NABCEP, CEM, LEED, CP
