Ameriprise Financial Senior Vice President & General Manager, Head of Ameriprise Advisor Center (R25_0000000572) in Minneapolis, Minnesota

We are seeking a Senior Vice President & General Manager for the Ameriprise Advisor Center (AAC), the centralized, team-based, financial advisor center based in Minneapolis, MN. This team is dedicated to virtually providing clients with personalized financial advice and support aligned to their goals. Reporting directly into the EVP, President Ameriprise Independent Advisors, this is a highly visible position responsible for driving the growth strategy of the AAC, which includes ensuring delivery of a consistent client experience aligned to our value proposition. In this exciting leadership role, you will drive growth and sales excellence that provides personalized financial advice, tailored solutions, and ongoing support to clients virtually. In this senior role, you will help shape and execute strategies that enhance client acquisition, address client retention, deepen relationships and boost sales performance. You will empower the team to deliver an exceptional client experience, grounded in expert financial advice while driving key business initiatives, including financial planning, service meetings, and digitally enabled client engagement to increase sales production and results. Key Responsibilities Developing and evolving the AAC strategy to drive growth and deliver on personalized and comprehensive financial advice to clients in a way that causes clients to increase trust, satisfaction, and advocacy, thereby increase of sales and financial results End-to-end responsibility for business planning and AAC financial results and impact for the Advice & Wealth Management (AWM) segment. Build confidence across AWM Advisor Channels that the AAC will deliver strong client value for all clients assigned. Engage with the various business development teams to bring in new clients and ultimately net flows. Drive a high-performance, growth culture through employee and leadership development, effective performance management, talent review, and succession planning. Provide support for employee and leader career advancement and leadership development. Lead the execution of recognition programs and engagement initiatives across multiple sites and teams. Provide leadership support to the sales and operations annual planning process and organization-wide strategic planning in addition to driving consistent standards of excellence and execution that supports the results of the AAC. Proactively develop strong working partnerships across the enterprise to continue evolving the AAC to optimize employee engagement, client experience, and execution to improve results. Develop, implement and adapt sales strategies as well as clearly communicate the strategic direction of AAC to the team and key partners. Ensure effective controls are in place to proactively manage risk and remain in compliance with company policies and procedures. Required Qualifications 15+ years of leadership experience building and leading an advisor sales distribution organization within a Wealth Management/Financial Services company, including phone-based teams preferably. A successful track record of growth, innovation and leading change. This includes a proven track record of success in a sales organization with a history of exceeding targets or driving revenue growth. A proven track record aligning enterprise priority, leading cross functional initiatives, and driving execution in a highly matrixed organization. Deep experience across regulatory needs of an advisory based business, the competitive landscape and industry best practices. Expertise in hiring, developing and leading high performing financial advisors. Demonstrated record in leadership roles, managing teams and overseeing operations with a focus on sales acumen, communication and relationship management skills. Experience managing a P&L, including revenue forecasting and budgeting skills. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Master's degree in business, finance or economics or other related degree pre erred Series 7, 24, 63/66 or 65/66 required. If you do not have them, you will have the ability to obtain them within a defined period according to Company policy. Preferred Qualifications The preferred candidate is an experienced, confident executive who is comfortable and effective at building relationships with all levels of the organization and has proven experience leading sales to drive net flows through new client acquisition and deepening relationships with existing clients. The ideal candidate is a strategic thought partner focused on the growth of the business, innovation, new capabilities and strategic partnerships. A collaborative and relationship-driven leader that will work across our advice and wealth management organizations to collaboratively outline and execute the vision of the business, build and drive strategy, identify and address issues and risks, and successfully navigate the resources across the organization and leverage those partnerships for growth.
