Position Purpose:

As a key member of the Organizational Development team, the Senior Talent Management Specialist will identify talent insights and data to support strategy and execution of talent management practices; aligned with Sleep Number priorities and the Human Resources (HR) roadmap. Partnering with HR Business Partners and business leaders to enhance and develop Talent Management programs and capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role will focus in the following areas of Sleep Number’s Talent Management practice: Performance Management, Goal Setting, Talent & Succession Planning, Competency Modeling, and Career Pathing & Mobility.

  • Performance Management and Goal Setting: advancement of the capability and roadmap, planning and execution of the processes, and resource development for team members and leaders.

  • Talent and Succession Planning: advancement of the capability and roadmap, planning and execution of the processes, and resource development for team members and leaders.

  • Competency Modeling: continued evolution and advancement of our competency model framework. Integration of the model into cyclical processes, and campaign and communications activities for sustainability.

  • Career Pathing and Mobility: develop and implement lasting frameworks that bring clarity, transparency, and guidance for team members and leaders on how to grow at Sleep Number.

  • See Your Future: overall sustainability and ongoing vision for the outcomes/output of the program.

Position Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in human resources, human resource development, organizational effectiveness, learning and development and/or talent management

  • Program/project management and change management experience preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Human Resources Development, Organizational Development, Psychology, related field or equivalent experience

  • Master’s degree is a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong business acumen with results orientation to align with business strategy and drive performance

  • Knowledge of talent management theory and practice

  • Research ability to uncover and recommend best practices and leading edge practices

  • Strong interpersonal savvy, balancing stakeholders, communicates effectively, collaborates, and ensures accountability

  • Comfortable around all levels of management and confidence in influencing leadership and driving results

  • Ability to manage projects, from planning through delivery

  • Self-starter and self-directed

Working Conditions (if applicable):

  • Sleep Number offers a hybrid work arrangement and a balance of remote work and in office collaboration opportunities at our HQ office in Minneapolis, Minnesota
