Stanley Consultants Inc Senior Structural Engineer in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Description The Stanley Consultants Water Resources Market team is a group of geotechnical, structural, civil, and water resources engineers that delivers heavy civil engineering projects focused on dams, locks, flood risk reduction, river restoration, water control structures, hydropower, and earth retaining structures for clients nationally and globally. We are seeking motivated candidates that enjoy working in a team environment on challenging projects to join our group in either or Minneapolis or West Palm Beach office. Essential duties include: Technical analysis, design, preparation of construction documents, reports, and cost estimates for structural, infrastructure, environmental, water resources, and energy projects Focus on structural engineering analysis and design for a wide range of concrete, steel, and other structural elements for engineering planning, analysis, and design projects Leading structural design team on projects for a wide range of structural and general civil engineering projects and advancing technical and/or managerial career development responsibilities Self-motivated subject matter expert; demonstrated through experience, participating in local professional organizations, preparing, and presenting market specific papers and presentations Desire and ability to manage and mentor staff Field work and travel may be required Familiarity with drawings, specifications, and basic structural engineering software such as STAAD and MathCAD is required Experience with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and other U.S. Federal agencies' engineering department general design standards and specifications is a plus. Experience with USACE structural design standards, construction observation, geotechnical, and soils engineering skills are a plus Requirements include: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering; Structural emphasis is desired Master of Science degree in structural or geotechnical engineering is a plus Possess at least 10+ years of relevant work experience Possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license or possess the ability to obtain within six months of hire Applied knowledge of structural engineering theory and principles Experience with design of earth and water retaining structures and hydraulic structures. CAD (Microstation preferred) and structural analysis software Strong oral communication and technical writing skills Ability to work in a team environment and lead a team of engineers Ability to manage structural design projects Familiarity with federal and state government guidelines, policies, and procedures is a plus Base Compensation: $103,300 - $137,600 Stanley Consultants is committed to maintaining transparency in our hiring process, including providing information about compensation.
