Senior Analyst - Private Equity Fund Operations

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Senior Analyst for a prominent private equity firm based in the Twin Cities. This opportunity is ideal for professional adept in investment and accounting, looking for a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

The role, being multi-disciplinary, combines facets of investment and accounting in support of the firm's Private Equity portfolio. As a Senior Analyst, you'll contribute to daily private equity fund operations, including accounting, reporting, valuations, and cash monitoring. Your responsibilities will also encompass a broad range of investment reporting, analysis, valuation, and accounting as part of the operational support team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing private equity fund operations, including accounting, valuations, reporting, performance analysis, cash monitoring etc.

  • Assisting in annual audits and tax preparation

  • Spearheading industry best practices and internal requirements

  • Providing cogent analysis to internal senior stakeholders

  • Assisting with strategic initiatives supporting the Private Equity portfolio

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline

  • MBA, CFA, or CPA designation

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience with Private Equity

  • Proven experience in private equity audits and financial reporting

  • Proficient in leading private equity systems or fund administration

  • High level of organization and attention to detail

  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and negotiation skills

  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite

This hybrid role is 2 days in office 3 days remote.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Private Equity Fund Operations

• Comprehensive knowledge of Private Equity and Private Equity Funds

• Proficiency in handling Valuations

• Experience in Investor reporting and Internal Reporting

• Understanding of Portfolio Companies and Portfolio Administration

• Possession of a CPA Designation is necessary

• Familiarity with Best Practices within Private Equity

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
