The primary goal of our lab is to understand the computations performed by neurons and neuronal networks in the cerebellum, their contributions to healthy behavior, and their roles and implications in neurological disorders such as epilepsy. To do this, we are using mouse genetic models, intersectional genetic and viral approaches for circuit dissection, mouse models of epilepsy, mouse behavior, and large-scale optical imaging techniques. Job duties: 60% - Perform Laboratory Research The candidate will work closely with the principal investigator to carry out a variety of experimental approaches including rodent stereotactic surgeries, optical imaging, and data analysis. 40% - Lab management The candidate will be responsible for lab maintenance duties including ordering supplies, mouse colony maintenance, and compliance with university research standards.
