Job ID360597 LocationTwin Cities Job FamilyResearch-Support Full/Part TimeFull-Time Regular/TemporaryRegular Job Code8352P1 Employee ClassCivil Service About the Job Conduct the day-to-day operations and activities for Dr. Salisbury's research study "The Exergame TeleHealth Study" investigating the effects of an exergames telerehabilitation intervention in older adults with subjective cognitive decline Key Responsibilities: Recruitment - 25% Recruit, screen, and evaluate potential participants. Track enrollment progress of potential participants. Provide updates for the study website. Use REDCap for the recruitment and screening through electronic health record. Coordination - 50% Track study progress of enrolled participants. Schedule appointments such as Screenings, Cognitive Assessments, and Blood Draws. Coordinate subject payments. Coordinate transportation and necessary staff and participants, including self, as needs arise. Ensure timely and accurate entry of study data into the study databases, such as REDCap, to ensure timely and efficient retrieval of data for reports, tracking, decision-making, and grant writing. Coordinate fidelity checks of all study procedures and data collections. Facilitate regular and timely communications with the PI, staff, and community partners. Ensure proper filing of all study-related paperwork and electronic documents to IRB and NIH (monthly Croms updates). Correspond with IRB & DSMB. Intervention - 25% Deliver the study equipment to study subjects. Monitor and assess participant's activity responses and adjust accordingly. Assess and report adverse events timely to PI and IRB. Reports to the PI: Dereck Salisbury, PhD, Assistant Professor, Exergames TeleHealth Study Co-PI, Director of School of Nursing Laboratory of Physiology (SoNLCP) Qualifications Essential: Bachelor's degree in clinical health sciences such as nursing, exercise science, or related field. Or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently, multitask, establish priorities, and problem-solve in real-time. CPR certified or ability to become certified prior to hire. Preferred: One year of experience in a clinical exercise setting (e.g. - classroom, laboratory or rehabilitation setting. Prior clinical experience working with older adults. Master's degree in clinical health sciences such as nursing, exercise science, or related field plus two year experience working in a research environment. Proficiency with computer skills such as word processing and spread sheet programs (ex. Microsoft Office), along with REDCap. Prior research experience including clinical trials research involving direct patient contact, recruitment, scheduling study visits, and delivering treatments to subjects.
