Job ID360589 LocationAll Other -See Job Description Job FamilyResearch-Support Full/Part TimePart-Time Regular/TemporaryTemporary Job Code8352P1 Employee ClassCivil Service About the Job The ENACT Research Group is seeking a researcher to assist with studies that investigate the role of nutrition in cancer prevention and survivorship using technology. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated researcher with a background in nutrition to assist with diet interventions and observational studies. This is a temporary position and will be in place for one year. Focus of Job Responsibilities Study Management (20%) Recruit and enroll participants in clinical trials with regards to the established protocol, Good Clinical Practice, and University of Minnesota Policies. Assist with review of scientific literature. Create Standard Operating Procedures for experiments. Assist with study recruitment. Data Collection and Management (20%) Execute and troubleshoot experiments or products developed by the group. Conduct and/or review dietary recalls based on participant availability, as needed. Assist with data entry and maintain study databases to ensure completeness. Ensure study treatment fidelity across different study sites. Assist with IRB protocol preparation and collaborate with research coordinators from other groups. Scientific Communication (40%) Communicate research findings to internal and external audiences. Assist with manuscript and grant preparation, including generating figures. Community Engagement (10%) Develop educational materials for different audiences, including those with food insecurity, different medical conditions. Coordinate with the Community Outreach and Education department about nutrition-related education activities. Training and Development (5%) Participate in professional development opportunities. Other Research Duties as Assigned (5%) Work Profile Profile 4 is expected to work fully remotely with the exception of required attendance for on-site events. Your dedicated workspace will be in your remote work location. Qualifications Required Qualifications BA/BS degree or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years. Ability to speak English and follow written and oral instructions. Strong organizational and communication (verbal, written) skills. Attentive to detail. Preferred Qualifications BA/BS in Nutrition. Has experience in developing study protocols. Physical Requirements Has access to a computer and high-speed Internet. Has access to a private area to conduct recalls.
