Starting Salary Range: $45,000-55,000 annually, dependent upon the selected candidate's relevant qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Onsite location: Rural Health Research Center, 2221 University Ave. SE, Suite 350, Minneapolis TC Campus - East-bank POSITION SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to support the coordination of research projects and programs that address health equity for rural people, with a focus on aging, access to care, and social drivers of health. The person in this position will play an essential role as a coordinator for research projects at the Rural Health Research Center. Priority Consideration for Applications Submitted no later than October 2, 2024. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This position has three essential functions: 1) project coordination; 2) administrative support; and 3) communication and research dissemination. Specific responsibilities include: Project Coordination - 30% Execute the day-to-day administration and coordination of research projects and programs in collaboration with the principal investigator, project leads, and project managers, including the following tasks: Tracking the progress of research projects from inception to completion Coordinating agendas and documentation for regular team meetings Updating grant reports, budgets, and related administrative materials Comparing, verifying, and reconciling data to achieve project and grant objectives Scheduling internal meetings as well as meetings with external partners Using a University Purchasing Card to make purchases needed for research implementation, and support preparation of contracts with external vendors Assisting in the preparation and submission of grant proposals and applications Assisting with review process for pilot projects Providing administrative support for the principal investigator and other team members Administrative Support - 40% Support research project leads and team members to successfully implement projects and programs, including the following tasks: Tracking and ordering office and research supplies Tracking research hardware and software equipment for use by researchers on the team Assisting with event planning and coordination for research and program meetings Managing email list serves and membership lists for research projects and grants Assisting the PI and project managers and leads with scheduling and other administrative support needs Research Dissemination - 30% Support the dissemination of research findings, including through the following tasks: Collaborating with team members in preparation and submission of reports, publications, and data for presentation at professional conferences and meetings Supporting design and forma ting of policy briefs (using InDesign) and other publications for release on the Rural Health Gateway and the RHRC website Copy editing and proofreading research products Integrating citations into research products utilizing citation software Composing content for social media platforms, email newsletters, and other modalities Prepare research summaries and highlight implications of research for policy Synthesize research to respond to calls for public input on relevant topics or to inquiries from legislators and policy-stakeholders Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in public health or a related field, or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years Dedication to advancing health equity and justice in health care. Strong interpersonal skills, including demonstrated excellence in writing and email communications. Robust organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision, within a multidisciplinary team. Experience working on projects or in environments that require the ability to manage multiple streams of work.
