Amazon Principal Product Manager, Relay Safety in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Amazon Transportation Services Tech builds software solutions that work across our vendors, warehouses, and freight carriers to optimize both time & cost of getting the packages delivered. We own a large-scale mobile app on iOS and Android that drivers use to pull freight for Amazon every day. Our mission is to build the safest and most efficient transportation system on the planet, using engineering muscle as our biggest advantage. We leverage cutting edge technologies in big data, machine learning, and optimization techniques, and operate high volume, low latency, and high availability services.

We are seeking an innovative, intellectually curious, results-oriented product leader who will create and drive the vision and execution for Relay safety products and deliver business impact through our global operational partners. In this position, you will influence multiple organizations to achieve our goals and improve safety across our network.

Key job responsibilities

Define the long-term strategy for products within your portfolio, build working backward plans to articulate the path forward, and execute on your plans to deliver meaningful business impact. You will dive deep into data to identify opportunities and partner with stakeholders and team members to measure the impact of your products.

About the team

We own all of the driver experience and driver-facing products and technologies for Amazon Middle Mile. When you see a 53' Amazon Smile trailer on the road, that driver is using the Relay app, and our products are helping him/her be safe, efficient, and on-time.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • 10+ years of blending product and program management skills to execute strategic initiatives about process creation, standardization, and improvement experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience owning technology products

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $145,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $240,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
