Kurita s corporate philosophy is to study the properties of water, master them and create an environment in which nature and humanity are in harmony Overview: Meets objectives and goals as defined by the Municipal Application Engineering & Sales Support. Works with the pilot team to design and operate pilots for upcoming projects. Assists with detailed equipment quotations and proposals for Kurita America Sales personnel and their customers with a typical value of less than $50,000. Works on special projects that are equipment related to improve the efficiency of the operation. Responsibilities * Assist with the preparation of pilot equipment according to plan, protocol, and BOM for pilot operation and shipment. * Assist with pilot testing: jar testing, adjustment of chemical feeds, meters and values, instruction of engineer and operator, etc. Uses Hach DR 890 Series test kit for iron, manganese, chlorine, and other contaminant analysis. * Take water samples for analysis * Submit field and test reports that are timely, concise, and accurate * A good ambassador for Kurita America - establish and maintain good working relationships with external customers * Performance of other technical duties as assigned Qualifications * Interest in the water treatment industry * Knowledge of water chemistry is helpful * Physical fitness: good health, able to lift 50 pounds * Good driving record must be insurable under Company s policy * Able to work overtime as required * Appearance/professionalism: must present professional appearance and have a high degree of personal and professional integrity Physical and Mental requirements: Being able to do the following in a safe and effective manner: * Climbing, ascending, and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and industrial equipment, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. * Reaching and extending hands and arms in any direction. * Standing and walking for sustained periods of time. * Pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and stooping for sustained periods of time. * Using upper extremities to move objects and equipment with steady force. * Sometimes working in temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
