Fairview Health Services Pharmacy Technician I - Home Infusion - Shipping and Receiving in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Overview

Are you a new or experienced Pharmacy Technician?

We at MHealth Fairview are looking for you to join our spectacular team at our Kasota location located in Minneapolis! This benefits eligible position is a 1.0FTE (80 hours/2 weeks) on the day/evening shift!

The Pharmacy Technician I - Shipping and Receiving is responsible for delivery, fulfillment and inventory activities within the designated pharmacy or shipping department. Under the direction of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician I - Shipping and Receiving is responsible for day-to-day comprehensive pharmacy technician services in the Materials area of the Home Infusion pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician I - Shipping and Receiving is responsible for delivery ticket fulfillment, labeling and packaging medications and orders and inventory management.

The Pharmacy Technician I will skillfully use interpersonal, customer service, problem solving and collaboration skills to support and influence operational objectives.

Responsibilities Job Description

Coordinate the tracking, packaging, and labeling of medications and equipment ensuring appropriate receipt and/or transfer to the shipping or other areas of the pharmacy as appropriate.

Monitors and maintains appropriate stock level in accordance with PAR levels and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Partner with nurses, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure pharmacy patients receive their medication(s) and supplies accurately, safely, in accordance with all legal requirements and policies and in a professional and timely manner.

Under the direction of the pharmacist, fulfill and prepare prescription orders for delivery in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with all legal, regulatory agency and Fairview requirements.

Coordinate the ordering and delivery of medications, supplies and equipment to patients and clinical areas as requested.

Qualifications

Required

Experience

Completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program (must be completed within 12 months of State Board registration)

OR one year of experience as a pharmacy clerk or like position within a healthcare setting.

License/Certification/Registration

Registered Technician with Minnesota Board of Pharmacy

Preferred

Education

Graduate of Pharmacy Technician program

Completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program

License/Certification/Registration

Pharmacy certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
