This position reports to the to the physician-investigator. 50% Practice-based facilitation and research support * Work closely with primary care clinic staff to educate and support lung cancer screening and related activities in their clinics. * Attends regular meetings with faculty to understand and anticipate research support needs. * Assist with data collection, analysis, reporting and quality assurance of projects. * Documents concerns, suggestions, requested modifications and decisions. 50% Protocol Implementation * Utilize the nursing process and practice-based research to operationalize research protocols for projects to perform protocol-specific research activities and facilitate process improvement. * Responsible for knowing protocol details, ensuring that protocol is followed, documenting study activities appropriately, and resolving issues that arise during day-to-day implementation of studies. * Recruit, screen, consent, and enroll subjects. * Collect data using a variety of methods including participant interviews, surveys, chart reviews, focus groups and other procedures as required by protocol. Qualifications All required qualifications must be included in the application materials Required Qualifications: * BS degree in Nursing with at least 5 years of experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal nine years; * Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel) and web-based systems for tracking activities, and calendaring * Possess excellent communication skills; verbal, interpersonal and written * Experience with Epic electronic health record * Ability to work independently, as a part of a team, and with changing priorities. * Demonstrated ability to lead projects, set and maintain deadlines and prioritize assignments. * Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational, planning and problem-solving skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * At least 2 years' experience in a primary care clinical setting. * Familiarity with the University of Minnesota Medical Center-Fairview hospital and clinics and/or clinics associated with Essentia Health. * Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team. * Knowledge of regulations governing research activity. * Knowledgeable about lung cancer screening How To Apply Applications must be submitted online.
