Borchert Map Pay rate: $17.50/hour Typical Duties: Conduct inventory of physical map collection Search for missing items and perform item-based problem-solving Assist with collection shifts, shelving, and filing Provide back-up and answer basic reference questions at a library service point Qualifications Basic qualifications Problem-solving and communication skills Attention to detail and high level of data entry accuracy Excellent customer service skills Able to perform essential physical demands, including, but is not limited to: frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting (up to 25 lbs.), carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling, stooping/bending, and reaching. Additional Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working in a library or archives setting Experience finding cartographic material (maps, aerial photos, atlases, etc.) Experience conducting an inventory of physical materials Experience shifting and organizing library or archival collections Familiarity with the Library of Congress subclass G (Cartographic Materials) call number system Knowledge of Alma, Google Suites, and basic scanning applications Benefits Working at the University As an employee in a Temporary and/or Casual appointment is not eligible for Retirement plans; health insurance benefits; vacation; sick leave; OR Regents Tuition Benefit Program.
