Fund Accounting Analyst

As a Fund Accounting Analyst, you will ensure the smooth operation of accounting functions throughout the month-end process, handle regulatory filings, and work in close collaboration with our internal accounting, operations teams, and external fund administrator.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing various journal entries and supporting month-end close process schedules

  • Analyzing and preparing monthly general ledger account reconciliations

  • Building in-depth reconciliations of positions and balances across numerous counterparties and asset classes

  • Conducting shadow accounting to reconcile internal reports against fund administrator records

  • Handling ongoing cash flow needs and regular cash activity reconciliations

  • Reviewing investor accounting schedules for correct fee structure application

  • Assisting with maintaining and monitoring appropriate internal controls, and preparing annual audit documentation

Candidate's will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in public accounting

  • Prior accounting experience in the financial services industry

  • Exceptional communication and organization skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Knowledge and understanding of US GAAP standards

  • A proactive attitude towards process automation and enhancement

  • The ability to manage competing deadlines, work independently, and question existing processes

  • Excellent teamwork and the willingness to take on ad hoc tasks
