Finance & Restructuring Attorney (#852)
Dorsey & Whitney LLP is seeking an experienced finance attorney for its Finance & Restructuring group with five or more years of experience to join the Dallas or Minneapolis office.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work alongside partners in one or multiple offices in a thriving finance practice and engage with their existing and new clients. This is a collaborative team with a national practice that regularly collaborates with the firm’s other offices including internationally. This attorney will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of debt finance transactions, including bank and private lenders, senior and mezzanine debt facilities, asset based lending, cash flow, syndicated, club and unitranche financings, project finance, sponsor finance and more. Experience in workouts or restructuring transactions would be a strong plus. The title for the position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience level.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate a drive to succeed and an enthusiasm to engage with clients. A successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work with others on this collegial, motivated and client-oriented team and to take leading roles where appropriate for the candidate’s experience and expertise. Strong drafting and client counseling skills are essential. A successful candidate will be highly motivated and have good presentation and client handling skills, the ability to engage with and nurture junior attorneys and a real desire to develop their career at Dorsey.
Qualified candidates will have:
A JD degree from a top-tier ABA-accredited law school;
Five or more years of debt finance experience at a large national or international law firm;
Texas or Minnesota bar admission, or the ability to become licensed in Texas or Minnesota;
Strong communication and writing skills; and
Top academic credentials.
