Overview: We are seeking a Fiduciary Financial Services Attorney with a strong background in financial analysis, tax law, and/or estate planning. This role will involve providing computational analyses, managing tax filings for clients, and offering legal counsel on complex estate matters. The ideal candidate will have a law degree as their primary qualification and an accounting, mathematics or statistics background. This position requires a high degree of analytical skill, particularly in projections, estate planning strategies, and tax compliance. Key Responsibilities Include: Provide computational analyses and tax projections related to estate planning matters. Analyze and interpret complex financial data to determine tax consequences. Prepare estate, gift and fiduciary income tax returns. Assist in estate and gift tax planning strategies, leveraging financial analysis to create projections and evaluate the impact of proposed strategies. Work with internal teams and clients to provide strategic advice based on financial analysis, while collaborating with other attorneys to integrate financial insights into legal strategies. Conduct complex analyses of estate plans, including projections, present value calculations, and amortization schedules. Analyze tax laws affecting estate planning. Our Ideal Candidates Will Have: A law degree (JD) or Master of Laws (LL.M.) from an accredited law school; emphasis on tax law, estate planning, or financial matters is a plus. A degree or background in accounting, mathematics or statistics, as this position requires advanced analytical and financial skills. Strong interest in the numbers side of estate planning, with a deep understanding of financial projections and tax analysis. At least 3-10 years of experience in tax planning or financial analysis, preferably in estate and trust law. Familiarity with tax season work and the ability to manage a high volume of tax filings. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to analyze complex data and generate strategic insights for clients and internal teams. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and manage workloads. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly. Client-facing experience is a plus, though it is not a requirement for the role.
