The appointment will be at a level (assistant, associate, or full professor) commensurate with experience. The University of Minnesota has a strong and well-supported experimental particle physics program including leading efforts on CMS, CDMS, Mu2e, LDMX, and the Fermilab neutrino experiments. For this position, we seek candidates who would strengthen or complement our efforts in the cosmic frontier. The successful candidate can expect to benefit from a vibrant culture of interdisciplinary collaborations within the College of Science and Engineering, as well as from state-of the-art laboratory space, materials characterization, nanofabrication, and supercomputing facilities. Qualifications Required: Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. in physics, astrophysics, or other related fields and should have demonstrated the potential to conduct a vigorous and significant research program as evidenced by their publication record and supporting letters from recognized leaders in the field. The ability to teach physics effectively at both the graduate and undergraduate levels is required.
