Hennepin County Engineering Technician/Assistant Engineering Technician in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Need to have: For hire as an Assistant Engineering Technician (Level I) o One of the following: ? Completion of an approved highway/civil engineering technology or land surveying training program. ? One or more years of experience in technical non-professional highway, land survey, geographic information systems application, or related engineering work. ? One year of experience analyzing numerical data using computer software applications, or developing and maintaining computerized information system applications. ? Thirty (30) college semester credits in mathematics, geography, computer science, or engineering related technical courses (or graduating in May of 2024 with an Associates or higher in one of the above fields). A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Hennepin County driver's permit. Ability to lift items weighing up to 60 pounds; climb up and down slopes; work outdoors, and around traffic in all weather conditions with or without reasonable accommodation. Need to have: For hire as an Engineering Technician (Level II) o One of the following: ? Three years or more of experience in technical non-professional highway, land survey, geographic information systems application, or related engineering work. ? Three years or more of college or technical school credits in a related engineering or computer science field. ? Current certification as a Certified Survey Technician (CST), Level 2. A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Hennepin County driver's permit. Ability to lift items weighing up to 60 pounds; climb up and down slopes; work outdoors, and around traffic in all weather conditions with or without reasonable accommodation.
