Center for Energy and Environment Energy Advisor in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Description The Energy Advisor Service embodies CEE's mission and values. An Energy Advisor primarily works with Home Energy Squad (HES) customers after they complete their visit and helps them reach their energy goals. An Energy Advisor has excellent communication skills and provides an incredible customer service experience by coordinating all post-visit correspondence, scheduling contractor appointments, and sharing information about financing, utility rebates and other incentives and generally acts a knowledgeable third-party resource for customers as they make energy improvements. Occasionally, an Energy Advisor schedules a customer's upcoming HES visit or works with other CEE departments or programs on advising related tasks. This is a full-time position that provides a wide range of benefits including Paid Time Off (PTO), medical, dental, life and long-term disability insurance and a retirement plan. Responsibilities Act as a primary contact for energy efficiency program participants after their visit Provide an engaging, reliable, accurate and timely customer experience by connecting customers to all applicable programs Counsel customers through specific energy programs and help participants overcome barriers to completion of energy efficiency projects. Schedule inspections for applicable programs Respond to customer complaints and concerns to ensure customer retention and satisfaction Coordinate with Customer Engagement Manager to reach annual program goals Assist Customer Engagement Manager in standardizing messaging and language Work on regular projects with the Customer Engagement Manager to improve the Salesforce CRM and Hubspot functionalities Professionally and efficiently schedule the appropriate energy visit for new customers Manage client data and paperwork in compliance with record retention and data privacy policies Other duties as assigned Qualifications/Job Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent applicable experience in related field Experience with residential energy efficiency programs Two (2) years of experience involving customer service, interacting with clients in person, by phone and over email General understanding of building science as related to residential buildings and the ability to explain this science to customers Ability to deliver a high level of personalized customer service Must demonstrate excellent customer relations, and communication skills, both written and verbal Must demonstrate excellent time-management, multitasking, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines Ability to work independently toward program goals Must have or must earn the BPI Building Science Principles (BSP) certification Must have basic computer and keyboard competency and show proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products Experience with Salesforce and/or other CRMS is very beneficial Comfortable in a fast-paced, professional environment Must pass Xcel Energy's drug and security screening Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds as well as carry, push, pull, kneel, and squat Compensation $25-26/hr Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
