WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER As the Donor Communications & Stewardship Specialist, you are a key member of the Development team, responsible for working with fundraising, conservation, finance and marketing staff to develop funding proposals, conservation highlights and other donor stewardship materials. You are creative, organized, and able to effectively tell the story of TNC's complex conservation programs and projects in compelling and understandable ways. You also have project management skills, such as creating production schedules or coordinating teams. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the donor communications program and creating collateral to support the fundraising and marketing goals of the Maryland/DC Development and Marketing Teams. You will plan and implement storytelling strategies, and you will write, edit, and design a variety of materials including grant proposals, donor reports, fact sheets, annual reports, website copy, acknowledgement letters, event talking points and other collateral. At times and when you are able, you will support our donor research team with prospect research. You report to the Deputy Director of Philanthropy on the Maryland/DC Development Team and coordinate regularly with the Director of Marketing. WHAT YOU'LL BRING A combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in related field and 2 years related experience or equivalent combination. Proficiency in English language and grammar. Experience writing one or more of the following: newsletter, magazine, annual report, web-site articles/stories, donor profiles, presidential acknowledgment letters, campaign brochures, funding proposals, fact sheets, presentations, or equivalent. SALARY INFORMATION The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $64,000 - $75,000 for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
