Job Summary Beacon Hill's client in southwest Minneapolis is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Business Partner to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a resourceful leader who can quickly establish themselves as a credible strategic partner. You will play a crucial role in developing and managing relationships with external partners and guiding internal teams to enhance our DEI initiatives and support our hiring and diverse representation needs. Key Responsibilities

  1. External Partnerships
  • Develop and grow relationships with educational institutions (e.g., HBCUs, HSIs, PBIs) and professional organizations
  • Leverage these relationships to support hiring and diverse representation, focusing on early career talent.
  1. Consultation and Collaboration
  • Serve as a consultant to HR business partners, Talent Acquisition, Employee Resource Groups, and business leaders.
  • Align diverse sourcing strategies with enterprise needs and collaborate with teams to develop a cohesive approach to recruiting.
  1. Project Management
  • Lead and scale DEI programs and initiatives effectively.
  • Manage multiple priorities and navigate ambiguity while providing strategic guidance.
  • Assist with the development and execution of DEI training, awareness initiatives, and programming for inclusion observances.
  1. Research and Communications
  • Research and implement DEI best practices using industry expertise.
  • Plan and execute DEI-related events and recognition activities.
  • Develop communication strategies to promote DEI initiatives across various platforms.
  1. Data and Metrics
  • Track and report on key performance indicators, metrics, and DEI program impact.
  • Set goals and evaluate the success of DEI programs, including analyzing metrics related to recruiting, internships, and full-time hires.
  1. Employee Resource Groups (ERG)
  • Develop strong relationships with ERG leaders to ensure alignment with DEI and business strategies.
  • Manage ERG databases, performance scorecards, and provide relevant data and recommendations.

  • Proficiency in building trust and cooperation in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to address a variety of audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Ability to influence others and collaborate to achieve objectives.
  • Attention to detail and situational awareness.

Education and Experience

  • 3-5+ years of experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Experience using data to drive actionable insights.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Willingness to travel (25-30%) as needed.
