Mortenson Construction Director of Craft Team Member Experience in Minneapolis, Minnesota

SUMMARY The Director of Craft Team Member Experience is responsible for partnering with Mortenson leadership and internal subject matter experts to develop and execute an integrated Craft Team Member experience strategy that delivers on Mortenson's vision to be the Craft employer of choice in the construction industry. RESPONSIBILITIES Leads Annual Craft Experience Business Plan Development (partners with Senior Leaders, HR, Safety, Operations Group Leaders). Direct accountability developing, leading and managing Mortenson Craft Experience Center of Excellence such as Workforce Development, Apprenticeship, Voice of Team Member, WIC as examples. Chairs Craft Experience Exec Steering Committee and Craft Experience Advisory Committee. Responsible for stakeholder alignment and communication on Craft Experience enterprise-wide including scorecard development and progress reporting. Secures necessary resources and funding to successfully execute Craft Experience Business Plan. Corporate level interface and connector for operating group leaders (Field Operations Manager, Director of Operations) to subject matter expert resources necessary to develop and implement Craft Experience strategies and initiatives to meet business objectives. Indirect accountability for achieving Craft Experience strategies and initiatives owned and driven by partner SME's in HR, Safety, and Operating Groups etc. Provides leadership, expertise, direction and guidance. Accountable for staying current with external industry and craft workforce trends to influence strategy and direction. QUALIFICATIONS A bachelor's degree in business or related field is required. A minimum of 10 years of experience with demonstrated progressive achievement and results in HR, Employee Relations, Continuous Improvement, Operations and/or other related field(s). Proven ability to define and convey a clear and inspiring vision to the organization. The ideal candidate will be highly articulate and comfortablecommunicating with a wide range of stakeholders, from Sr. Leadership to Craft Team Members Passionate about employee experience and has provided thought leadership in this domain. Complex, multi-site management experience in construction or a related industry such asmanufacturing or energy where building initiatives are ongoing. Demonstrated strategic thinker who can effectively lead and influence teams to elevate the organization. Demonstrated track record of successfully creating and implementing effective solutions, systems, processes, and tools. Proven manager of people and capable of leading through influence and building strong relationships both internally and externally. Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills. Collaborative by nature, leads by example and works well cross-functionally to implement Craft Experience strategies that align with corporate and operating group objectives. The ideal candidate will personally possess traits that are consistent with Mortenson's values and leadership competencies. S/he will be a mature leader with sound business judgment, and a values-based management style. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal quity. #LI-PM1 Please make note: Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
