Work as part of team that includes Cancer and Blood Disorder physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nursing, social work, physical therapy, nutrition, child life, clinic assistants and researchers. The department at Children's of Minnesota provides care for children of all ages with all types of malignancies including brain tumors, solid tumors, and leukemia; and blood disorders such as sickle cell disease, bleeding disorders, and anemia. As the largest provider of services for children with cancer and bleeding disorders in the region, the Cancer and Blood Disorders program focuses on providing well-coordinated knowledge-driven clinical care. We participate in national and international research and are leaders in research on supportive care and quality of life for children with cancer and bleeding disorders. Position Summary The Clinic Manager is responsible for providing overall leadership and management of one assigned clinic(s) or specialty program, assuring excellent patient care, customer service and clinical outcomes. As the operational leader, is accountable for day to day management of ambulatory clinic operations. Works in a paired leadership role with a Medical Director dyad to execute on key strategies to improve clinical quality, experience and financial performance. Required: * BA/BS Degree in healthcare, business, nursing or related field * Knowledge, skills and abilities including: - Driving the execution of strategic priorities - Inspiring & empowering others - Fostering open dialogue & teamwork, building relationships - Strong organizational, analytical, communication & interpersonal skills - Proven critical thinking and problem solving abilities, including resolving complex problems requiring innovative solutions - Experience managing a P&L and budgeting Preferred: * 3+ years of management experience in the healthcare industry * Previous experience in managing a minimum of 10 staff people * Experience working in ambulatory clinics * Experience in pediatrics and designated specialty (if applicable) * Knowledge, skills and abilities including: - Experience designing and implementing care delivery and service excellence strategies, using Lean management theory preferred - A passion for learning - Ability to present oneself and one's ideas with clarity, confidence and poise * Strong computer skills Physical Demands Please click here to view the Physical Demands The posted pay range represents rates for a grouping of multiple jobs within a salary grade. We carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program off red by Children's Minnesota.
