Clean Room Technician in Minneapolis, MN

Pay: $18-20/hr (Based on Experience)

Shift Hours: M-F 8 AM - 4:30 PM or M-F 11 AM - 7:30 PM

Job Description

We are looking for a Clean Room Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work in a clean room environment, fully gowned, assisting with the operation of equipment that processes bovine or pig blood. This position involves physical labor, including lifting 50-pound jugs of blood and feeding them into the machinery. A significant portion of your time will be spent cleaning the tools used in this process, either by hand or using dishwashers. Additionally, you may help with tasks such as labeling, capping, or staging for the next day’s operations.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in a medical environment.

• Physical Capability: Comfortable lifting weights of up to 50 lbs throughout the day.

• Cleaning Duties: Willingness to clean instruments and work around blood.

• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality.

• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.

Work Environment

In this role, you will handle blood used for testing our products, so comfort around blood is essential. The clean room is a well-lit, medical manufacturing environment with comfortable temperatures. While the work is lighter, it is fast-paced. Some products may be stored in freezers, so you should be prepared for cold conditions; however, gloves are provided for your comfort. These freezers resemble stand-up models commonly found in garages, and you will not need to enter them.
