Business Analyst
This role serves as the liaison between key business stakeholders and IT, facilitating the analysis and delivery of system changes to support IT and operational projects. Responsibilities include assessing and documenting project scope, business risks, technical requirements, and testing strategies. The role involves leading requirements-gathering sessions, creating business requirement documentation, and ensuring traceability to technical requirements. Additional responsibilities include developing user acceptance and validation test plans, executing UAT, and ensuring business readiness. This individual will create user stories, acceptance criteria, and deliver demos of completed features. They will identify opportunities for improvement in the SDLC and PDLC, make recommendations, and advocate for enhancements as needed. A successful candidate is a strong communicator who can balance stakeholder needs with project timelines.
Types of projects may include legacy system decommissions, where technical expertise is a valuable asset.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the creation of business cases, outline scope, identify stakeholders, and facilitate/document As-Is and To-Be process flows, including gap analysis.
Elicit, analyze, and document detailed business and technical requirements through user stories and acceptance criteria.
Plan and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that delivered solutions meet business needs.
Contribute to business readiness plans, including communication, training, and production validation.
Ensure timely identification, tracking, and resolution of issues.
Maintain accurate status updates in the designated system of record.
Qualifications:
6–7 years of Business Analyst experience.
Strong analytical and project management skills.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Proven ability to collaborate across teams and coordinate delivery and implementation.
Experience working with external vendors.
Preferred:
8+ ?years of Business Analyst experience.
Leadership skills, including experience coaching other analysts.
Certifications such as Six Sigma, CBAP, or BABOK are a plus.
Experience with Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, KanBan).
Familiarity with tools like Jira and Polarion (epics, user stories, tasks, subtasks).
