Ameriprise Financial Business Analyst, Client Reporting in Minneapolis, Minnesota

As a Business Analyst, you'll play a key role in shaping the success of our business unit by performing in-depth analysis, generating insightful reports, and providing actionable recommendations. You'll have the opportunity to optimize processes, enhance reporting models, and contribute to meaningful improvements that drive efficiency and growth. In this role, you'll work on small to medium projects, developing creative solutions for business challenges and collaborating with cross-functional teams. With guidance from leadership, you'll proactively recommend changes to policies and procedures, ensuring our business remains agile and responsive. Your keen analytical skills will also be utilized to troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing valuable support across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform tasks and analysis related to client and government reporting on forms 1099, 1042-S, and 990-TPerform routine reporting and analysis contributing to recommendations for the business unit based on their needs for minor process improvement, along with assisting in small to medium projects within business unitWorking directly with business partners in a professional, effective manner to provide needed assistance or training, resolve discrepancies, and build relationshipsDevelop solutions for routine and less complex problems for the business unit. Trouble shoot, resolve problems or issues, while contributing to define solutionsRequired QualificationsAssociate degree or equivalent (2 years)1+ years in Financial Services operationsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent (4 years)3+ years in Financial Services operationsKnowledge of 1099, 1042-S, and 990-T reporting forms Accurate documentation, attention to detail and prioritization skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in MS Excel and MS Word; familiarity with Access/database applicationsStrong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skillsAbility to initiate and implement process improvementsAbout Our CompanyWe're a diversified financial services leader with more than $1 trillion in assets under management and administration as of 2022.
